Who We Are In God
Who We Are In God, written by Don M Standeford.Who We Are In God
Who we are is a culmination of all of the choices we have made.
We cannot blame who we are on what others have done to us, as we choose how we respond.
We cannot blame who we are on environment, we choose what to do with what we were given in life.
Our decisions are ours to make, and ours alone.
I have found however, that if I humble myself and submit to God.. allow Him to guide me in this life, who I am is only determined by one decision. The decision to submit to what God wants in my life. To submit to who God wants me to be.
Then... who I am is determined by God, not by me except insomuch as I have given Him control over.
The more I give control over to God, the more I want to. The more I realize that I do not want to determine who I am. What I want for myself is nothing in comparison to what God wants for me. Who God wants me to be.
Who am I? An imperfect being, loved by God and saved from myself. A fearful being, breathed into by the very breath of God and emboldened by His spirit.
That is who I am.
